Two clocks on one page
Everything you need to time something sits side by side: a stopwatch that counts up to hundredths of a second and a countdown that counts down to zero and then sounds an alarm. Use the stopwatch for a run, a presentation rehearsal or a chemistry step, and the countdown for tea, a workout interval or a focus session.
How to use them
- Press Start on the stopwatch. Press Lap to record a split without stopping the clock.
- Press Stop to pause and Resume to carry on from the same time. Reset clears the time and the laps.
- For the countdown, type hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a preset such as 5 or 25 minutes.
- Press Start. The alarm sounds at zero unless you switch the sound off, and the display blinks.
- Pause, resume or reset at any point. Changing a field while the timer is stopped sets the new time.
Reading the lap list
Every lap shows two numbers: the time of that lap alone and the total time since the start. With two or more laps the fastest one turns green and the slowest red, which makes it easy to see where pace was lost. The newest lap is on top.
Accuracy and the background tab
Both clocks are calculated from the browser's high-resolution timer instead of counting ticks, so a busy page or a hidden tab does not make them drift. While a countdown runs, the time left appears in the tab title, which you can read from another tab. Browsers may slow down screen updates of a hidden tab, so the display can lag for a moment, but the end time stays correct. The alarm needs sound to be allowed for the page, which is why the countdown unlocks audio when you press Start.
Nothing is stored
The clocks live in the open tab. No account, no upload and no saved history: close the page and the time is gone.
