When you need the same text again and again
Test data for a form, a placeholder that must fill a layout, a line to stress a text field, or a list that starts from one template. Typing or pasting it a hundred times is slow and error-prone. Enter the text once, choose how often it should appear, and the repeated result is ready to copy.
Repeat text in five steps
- Type or paste the text into the left box. It can be a word, a sentence or several lines.
- Set how many times it should be repeated, from 1 to 100,000.
- Choose what goes between the copies: a line break, a space, a comma and space, nothing, or your own text.
- Tick Number the copies to put 1., 2., 3. in front of each one.
- Press Copy or download the result as a text file. The counter shows the number of copies and characters.
Separators and numbering
A separator goes between the copies, never after the last one, so a comma separated list does not end with a stray comma. With your own text you can type \n for a line break and \t for a tab, for example \n---\n to divide copies with a rule. Multi-line input is repeated as one block, so two lines stay together in every copy.
Limits that keep the page responsive
The result is capped at 5 million characters, because a text box with more than that becomes slow to scroll and copy. If the text times the count would go beyond it, the tool says so instead of freezing the tab. Lower the count or shorten the text.
What people use it for
- Filling a form or database with test entries.
- Checking how a layout handles very long text.
- Building a comma separated list from one value.
- Creating a numbered checklist from one template line.
Your text stays in the tab
Repeating happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, which matters when the text is a draft or contains personal data.
